OILS-FIGURATIVE AND ABSTRACT ART
As a conductor, Elisa Cook, artist from Geneva from Spanish origin, leads her brush through her canvases sometimes with gentleness and voluptuousness sometimes with strength and ardor.
From her pictorial partition spring up figurative and abstract paintings that all have a common denominator: a search for serenity.
She offers to the spectator a vision of calmness and tranquility alternating vigorous brush strokes in a sweet mixture of sky-blue tones where sky and earth unite to give birth to Harmony.
In watching her artwork our look takes part in a pleasurable cruising rhythm and fully plunges us in a luminous artistic symphony that is played at the “Galerie d’Art Evian”.

Discovering Elisa Cook
It is an artist from Geneva with a very personal style both in her figurative artwork as in her abstract paintings. Look at Elisa Cook’s paintings: her tendency to bareness leads her more and more to abstract and semi-abstract. Her style characterizes by a certain serenity. In her artwork, either in strength or in softness we perceive a very obvious search for light. A beautiful discovery to make from June 6th to 27th at SMA Gallery, 12 Rue du Marché , Carouge

Serenity, what a beautiful programme!!! It is the one proposed by the Galerie D’Art Evian which exhibits Elisa Cook’s paintings.
That artist from Geneva, from Spanish origin, expresses herself in varied styles. Figurative or abstracts, her artwork is harmonious.
She can inspire either from a lake landscape or from a simple oar cutting trough water or from a tree or vineyards.
Houses that reflect upon water, a tree under the sun… are all different subjects used.
Her abstract paintings are a call to imagination. Playing with texture and with colours, shapes are drawn and guessed…
“Soirée d’Ambre et de Miel” et “Soudain la Clairière”, names are evocative and guide the visitor, who remains however free to see something totally different in either slender or more vigorous movements drawn by the artists hand. Elisa Cook invites you to dreaming and wondering.
This exposition strikes by the diversity.

Art can sElisa Cook’s Variations to be discovered at the Galerie D’Art Evian (France)
In exhibiting Elisa Cook’s paintings, Sandra Lacher offers to the visitor a glance called with a common agreement “Variations on Serenity”. “They are several paintings realized at different periods of life” comments the artist.
Elisa Cook defines her esthetic interest: “I would like now to go further, search new media, travel to invented landscapes, born only in my imagination.” The drawing is very good: “I’ve studied a lot, for sure, but now I want to fly towards abstract”.
A pity would we be tempted to say upon looking a certain paintings where we fully feel her mastery and her capacity to root her subjects with very personal accents: L’arbre Vaillant”, for example, that landscape with an ochre earth under the sky or else that painting called “Née Poussière Eau Je Deviendrai” in which we are just upon the thin thread between abstract and figurative.
