Born Elisa Benbassat Bassat in Barcelona, after studying at the Lycée Français, Elisa attended University in Geneva. After graduating from the School of Interpreters and the University Institute of European Studies, she decided to stay in Switzerland. Since 2017 she has lived in Marbella, Spain. Artistic since childhood, she became a painter and studied several techniques with different teachers: watercolour, drawing, sketching, oil painting and acrylic. Her passion for painting has encouraged her to devote herself fully to researching, deepening and experimenting to perfect her style. Her paintings, while remaining very personal, reflect a constant evolution that stems from a permanent desire to go further and further. Her paintings show a gradual simplification either in the figurative or in the abstract but with an unmistakable search for light Her work has been in exhibits all over the world as well as in the Nantong Museum, first museum of China and in the United Nations in Geneva. One of her paintings is now included in the permanent exhibition in the Museum of Modern Art of Mataró “Nau Gaudí “ next to Picasso, Miró , Chillida, Calder, Tapies, Moore etc
